Individual Note

Obituary - Death and Funeral of Mrs New.

 

The death occurred recently of Mrs New, at the age of 69 years. Mrs New passed away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. H. Allen, after a long illness patiently born. Deceased was the wife of Mrs C. New at number 10 Turnworth.

 

The funeral took place atTurnworth Parish Church, the Vicar, the Rev D. G. Littlejohn was officiating. The hymn "As Jesu Loves of my Soul" and "The King of Love my Sherpherd Is" were sung and Psalm 23 chanted, with Mrs Cuff at the organ.

 

The family mourners were. Mr C. New (widower), Mr & Mrs Courtney, Mr & Mrs J. Chamberlain, Mrs S. Mouland and Mr & Mrs Allen (sons-in-law and daughters), Mr L. New, Mr & Mrs P. New, Mr & Mrs W. New and Mr & Mrs H. New (sons and daughters-in-law) Mrs W. Mitchell and sons (sister-in-law and newphews) Mrs R. White, Roy New and Leonard Courtney (grand-children). Others present were Miss Tory, Mrs Easton, Mrs Griffiths, Mrs C. Elford, Mrs E. Ballam, Mrs J. Cave, Mrs J. Painter and Mrs B. Wills.

 

Mr C. New and family wish to thank all kind friends for their messages of sympathy and beautiful floral tributes.
